Loss Prevention Services (LPS) is the premier provider of security personnel assisting a wide client base with encouragement and education on current Covid-19 protocols within retail stores as well as asset protection. LPS is currently seeking full-time applicants across Ontario.

Successful applicants will demonstrate strong knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, the Citizen's Powers of Arrest, and the Trespass to Property Act. They will also have a security-oriented education and experience in the Retail Loss Prevention Industry.

  • Duties & Responsibilities


    • Provide support to retail and warehouse environment
    • Detect and apprehend shoplifters to deliver them to the police
    • Follow proper procedures and protocols
    • Write extensive incident reports while utilizing knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Citizen’s Powers of Arrest
    • Professionally represent Loss Prevention Services, including in all court-related procedures

  • Minimum Requirements


    • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
    • High school diploma (preference will be given to Police Foundations / Law & Security graduates)
    • Cell phone with a data plan
    • Ability to work on weekends
    • Physically fit to walk for extended periods
    • High degree of honesty & integrity
    • Reliable vehicle is an asset
